Entrepreneurship and solidarity funding
As the population of Burundi is 54% women, no one can ignore that the empowerment of women is the surest path towards the eradication of household poverty which handicaps economic growth within businesses and on farms. . However, women are still affected by poverty, discrimination, exploitation and the hardship of household chores, which limits their socio-economic participation.
In order to provide a sustainable response to women’s entrepreneurship, Faith in Action offers the following services:
• Facilitate a solidarity fund and financial management
• Facilitate the creation of IGAs through training on business plans, creation and support of IGAs
• Connection to the MFI
• Creation of the market• Development of opportunities around livelihoods, livestock and selected seeds.
